Four Bulgaria fans detained for subjecting England players to racist abuse have been fined 1,000 Bulgarian lev (#443) and banned from sports events for two decades.
Englands 6-0 Euro 2020 qualifier win in Sofia on Monday was stopped in the first half after racist chanting by home fans.
The four fans were punished with authorities – instead of the nations courts – under Bulgarias law to thedefense of public order through sports events.
Another fan was arrested on Wednesday, bringing the complete number detained to seven.
Among those seven is a minor, the Bulgaria Ministry of Interior told BBC Sport.
President of the soccer association of Bulgaria, borislav Mikhailov, resigned Tuesday.
Bulgaria director Krasimir Balakov said following the game hedidnt hear any chanting, using previously accused England of using a bigger racism problem.
But Balakov later posted a statement on Facebook, admitting the episodes on Monday and also apologising toEnglish footballers and also to all those who believed offended.
I condemn all forms of racism within an unacceptable behavior that interrupts normal human relations, he further added.
When he was asked on television to avoid a similar event in 20, legend Hristo Stoichkov became emotional. He recommended thatlovers arent permitted in the stadium or perhaps [face] thicker punishments.
